Supporting individuals facing hardship, homelessness, addiction, and crisis throughout the Lehigh Valley through care bags, food care packages, hygiene supplies, snacks, socks, resources, encouragement notes, harm reduction education, and overdose prevention resources.

Funds raised through our basket raffle and donations help us continue assembling care bags and expanding outreach throughout the ABE area.

Program Update: ABE Community Care Bags

Since launching, we have now distributed 375 care bags across the Lehigh Valley, including Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton in May/June alone! Each bag is assembled and delivered through community outreach with the goal of meeting immediate needs for individuals and families facing hardship.

Every bag includes essentials such as hygiene supplies, basic first aid items, food support items, hydration, and resource information. Narcan is included when available through state programs at no cost.

Current High-Need Items

We are currently experiencing urgent shortages in the following items:

Socks (adult sizes especially)
Sunscreen (travel size preferred)
Hand warmers, beanie hats, gloves & scarves (seasonal need for preparation of winter survival kits)
Lip balm / lip protection

• Travel-size first aid supplies; (small rolls of medical tape, antiseptic wipes, bulk bandages variety sized 5-8 go in each kit)

Deodorant sticks or wipes
Travel hygiene kits (body wash wipes, dry shampoo for when showers aren’t available )

Ongoing Impact

Community support continues to directly impact distribution capacity. Every donation helps increase the number of complete care bags we can assemble and place back into the community.

We are deeply grateful for every contribution—no donation is too small, and every item goes directly into a kit reaching someone in need.
