The Children's Center has been helping local kids with special needs - hundreds each year - reach their potential since 1967.

For too long now, we've had waiting lists for every service we offer. And these kiddos cannot wait. With every day that passes, their window of developmental opportunity closes. By the time they are five-years-old, 95% of their brain has developed along with foundational skills they'll rely on for the rest of their lives. While they wait for a spot to open up, their window closes and it could mean the difference between that child:

talking or not,
walking or not,
learning to chew and swallow,
learning to tolerate noise, lights, touch – all things that are really hard for children with autism or other sensory processing disorders to do.

It could mean the difference between a child saying or hearing and understanding the words "I love you" to their mom, dad, grandma or grandpa. It can change quality of life dramatically.
