Brooklyn Animal Action turns Sweet Sixteen this year! We're excited to celebrate this milestone with you at this year's #ActionCat Walk 2026 in Prospect Park!

At 11 am on Sunday, June 7th, we’ll meet at the Grand Army Plaza entrance to Prospect Park for a pleasant walk to benefit Brooklyn Animal Action’s rescue work, while spending some quality time with fellow animal lovers. We’ll finish with a pizza picnic in the park at the picnic area inside the Bartel-Pritchard Square entrance to the park. We encourage you to register as a participant to fundraise for your walk, or you can create a team!

For anyone who’d like to participate virtually, lace up your slippers and take a walk around your home! While you’re walking, take a picture or video of you and your family—fur, feather, scale, fin, or human—strutting their stuff. Post it to social media and tag us @brookynanimalaction on Facebook/Instagram, using the #ActionCat hashtag!

BAA rescues and TNR's hundreds of kitties each year, and we rely on donations to fund this lifesaving work. Over the last few years, inflation has driven up our medical and food costs enormously, and there seem to be more homeless animals than ever. We couldn't do this work without you!

Your fundraising will help Brooklyn Animal Action continue to rescue hundreds of homeless, orphaned and abandoned animals and perform TNR to reduce the population of vulnerable feral cat colonies.
