We currently support 5 horses in our care in addition to the Hay Barn and Feed Fund. This amount $50,000 is our 2025 BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) for every $5,000 raised it provides a comfortable safety net in the sanctuary for a full year. For every $5,000 raised it opens up another spot in our program to help another horse in need of a soft landing. Horses are perhaps one of the most overlooked animals that rely on humans for their daily needs.

Our average monthly expenses are

Lease: $625 ($125/per horse; on our 15 acre pasture lease)

Grain: $485 (14 Bags total: 4 Nutrena All Life Stages; 8 Purina Smart Edge; 2 Purina Enrich Plus)

Winter Hay: $625 (5 Round Bales @ 125/each)

Summer Hay: $350 (1 Round Bales @ 125/each + a 21 bale bundle) they are out on pasture unless bad weather or injury
