On Thanksgiving Eve 1974, an effort was undertaken to raise funds for underprivileged area children in the form of a 50 mile walk, with pledges initially collected by just one Hudson Falls school teacher, Frank Munoff.

The walk raised a modest amount of money in relation to the need at the time, but it also warmed the hearts of area residents and businesses, bringing attention to the needs of their neighbors.

Over time, the walk became longer and the money pledged became significant. Today, we raise over 100k annually to support this mission.

Working with local school districts and service providers to identify those in need, nearly 2500 children receive gifts of food and clothing during the holiday season through our efforts each year.
