AFA’s Doolittle Leadership Center has a unique opportunity to share its unique leader development approach with Air Force and Space Force cadets at Air Force ROTC Detachment 890, (University of Virginia, James Madison University, and Liberty University). We're hoping to host junior- and senior-level cadets in a 1.5-day immersive leadership development off-site workshop near Madison, VA. This remarkable opportunity is dedicated to one goal: building cadets into better leaders.

Inspired by the legacy of General Jimmy Doolittle, the DLC has equipped Airmen and Guardians around the world with a practical, tested leadership framework that strengthens their ability to lead, develop, and care— the three primary responsibilities of every leader.

LEAD: Set direction, align teams, motivate others, and manage execution.
DEVELOP: Teach, model, and coach to unlock potential within the team.
CARE: Build trust, provide resources, and foster an environment where every cadet thrives.

In a 9-hour format over a weekend, DLC will present cadets with a tailored, top-of-the-line leadership workshop, similar to the one we presented to over 2200 Airmen, Guardians, and civilians since DLC’s founding. Through a dynamic blend of collaborative exercises, real-world case studies, and film scenario analysis, cadets will confront real-world leadership challenges and leave with actionable insights they can use immediately in their ROTC environment and in future military service. This hands-on training will empower the future officers of Detachment 890 to lead with confidence, integrity, and purpose.
