We’re so excited to welcome our community back to the water for the AFF 2026 Season Opener Paddle Day. Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, we can’t wait to kick off a new season of joy, connection, and inclusive adventure together.

At Adaptive Freedom Foundation, our Paddle Days are about more than paddling. They are about freedom, confidence, connection, and joy. We create space for people to experience the fun, healing, and possibility of being on the water in a safe, supportive community.

This event is for people with disabilities, as well as those recovering from significant injury, illness, stroke, cancer, or other health challenges, who may benefit from extra support on the water.

What We Offer

WASUP Paddling
Join us aboard one of our WASUP™ (Wheelchair Adapted Stand-Up Paddle) boards, with support from an experienced lead paddler and buddy volunteers.

Paddle with a Buddy
Enjoy time on the water with a volunteer buddy who will support you on a paddle board at your own comfort and skill level.

Whichever option you choose, our goal is the same: to help you feel safe, supported, included, and free to enjoy the experience.

Your Paddle Day Includes

Caring support from trained volunteers
A safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment
Time on the water at your comfort level
The opportunity to try something new, build confidence, and have fun
A meaningful day of community, confidence, and joy
Water, sunscreen, and lunch provided

Reservation Fee: $25

A $25 fee is required to hold your spot. At registration, you may choose to donate your fee to support AFF or request that it be refunded after the event. Please select your donation or refund preference at the time of registration.

If you need to cancel and would like a refund, cancellations must be made by phone at least 48 hours before your scheduled session so we can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist.

Session Information

Five 45-minute sessions beginning at 10:00 AM
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled session for check-in

What to Bring

Towel
Clothes you don’t mind getting wet

All paddle equipment and safety gear will be provided.

Additional Information

Waivers will be signed at the event
Parking is not included, and some beaches may charge a parking fee
Event details are subject to change based on volunteer availability and weather conditions

Spots are limited and will fill quickly, so we encourage you to register early.
