TSA Workers Hardship Fund (AFGE 1260)
During this partial government shutdown, TSA officers are once again required to work without a paycheck. Bills are due, gas tanks are empty, and childcare is still expensive. Many families are already financially stretched from the last shutdown. Even worse, many banks and creditors are no longer offering payment extensions because workers received the same relief during the last shutdown.
One TSA officer, who is a single mother, shared:
“We are required to come to work with NO PAY, yet my car needs gas to get there. The last check I received was only $322.56. I’m having to decide between paying for childcare to report to work or staying home with my children and risking being marked AWOL. I don’t know what to do. I’m desperate.”
Every dollar raised will provide emergency assistance to impacted AFGE TSA members (through their union, AFGE) to help them through this crisis
If you can, please consider donating to show your support for the people who keep us safe while we travel.
Finally, please share this campaign to raise awareness and support for TSA officers and their families during this difficult time.
An injury to one is an injury to all.
