Our Vision

Africa Twenty One Hundred improves lives in underserved communities by educating and connecting aspiring entrepreneurs with essential resources. We make a positive difference in their lives by helping them start individual businesses that increase income flows, secure employment and accelerate economic growth within the community.

Background

The concept for Africa Twenty One Hundred is driven by the growing population and high youth unemployment in Africa, as well as an urgent need to empower them. The strategy is to give them agency – teach them to fish, and feed them for a lifetime by leveraging their desire for entrepreneurship. To understand the local entrepreneurial needs and challenges, we leveraged our passion for entrepreneurship, as well as experience in the field to conduct empathy mapping research and entrepreneurship workshops in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya last March.

The Foundation Readiness Program

We selected a group of 25 young men and women to pilot the 12-week Foundational Readiness Program. They were chosen from the 54 workshop participants across three countries because they showed entrepreneurial traits, business skills, and a strong dedication to their communities. We also provide general offerings such as monthly webinars and coaching to the more than 200 individuals subscribed to our online entrepreneurial community.

The Ask

A platinum donation of $30,000 sponsors the entire cohort of 25 people through 12-weeks of intensive business training
A gold donation of $6,000 sponsors five people through 12-weeks of intensive business training
A silver donation of $1,200 sponsors one person through 12-weeks of intensive business training
A bronze donation of $500 sponsors general programming for 100 community members during the 12-weeks duration
