Infrastructure Projects Acuna
Please help the forgotten people of Albergue Legado de Corazon in Acuna, Mexico.
Albergue Legado de Corazon (previously known as Centauro) is a home for disabled people and those struggling with addiction. Most of the people living at Albergue Legado de Corazon would be on the streets of Acuna if it weren’t for this shelter. The shelter’s leadership left unexpectedly and made no arrangements for the continued support. A few volunteers are trying to keep it going but do not have the resources to run it properly.
The facilities and the people living here are in crisis. They are not being fed properly and the facilities are not livable. Roofs leak, the septic is not functioning correctly, mold and mildew cover much of the facilities, the kitchen has no hot water, the bedding is filthy, and many sleep on concrete floors.
The Lift Collaborative is partnering with Breakpoint Church, Young Living Stones, Centauro, and other ministries/churches to make the facilities livable. We have a plan to build a new shower house, fix existing bathrooms, set in a new septic, repair roofs, and build a food pantry to store food properly. We also plan to alleviate many health issues by installing a new water filtration system, providing hot water for the kitchen, clean and paint all living areas, and provide new bedding.
We are praying for $40,000 to $50,000 to cover the cost of these projects. Unlike most non-profit organizations, 100% of your donation goes directly to the projects listed. Volunteers are doing most of the work and are flying down at their own expense. All donations will make a difference! Please share this urgent need with friends, family, and on social media. We would also love to partner with other churches and organizations.
