The Challenge

Every year, thousands of young people age out of the foster care system without the support and resources they need to succeed. These young people are facing an uphill battle, as they are more likely to experience homelessness, unemployment, and incarceration.

Our Solution

Foster Pantry is a nonprofit organization that provides support and resources to youth in foster care and those who care for them. We assist with essential needs such as clothing, school supplies, and toiletries.

Dependent Assistance
Support Groups & Mentorship
Moving Forward Grant

In 2023 we expanded our programming to support youth after the age of 21, when most other support and assistances stopped. This included hosting Baby Showers (virtual and in-person), furnishing apartments, and providing birthday party supplies for dependants.

How You Can Help

Your donation will help us to provide them with the essential needs and resources they need to succeed.

Here are just a few of the ways that your donation will make a difference:

$25 provide a gas card to help the young adult get to work
$50 provides a gift card for a resturant or grocery store
$100 provides a gift card in for a care packages given for holidays or achievements (Easter, Birthdays etc)
$150 provides an 18th Birthday Celebration, including cake, decorations and gifts
$250 provides a community outing an dinner for the NCLinks youth (pizza and laser tag is a favorite!)
$500 can provide a Moving Forward Grant - awarded quarterly to assist with needs associated with education, employment, housing, and transportation needs
