CSI General Operating Funds
Community Solutions Innovators is a veteran-managed nonprofit organization, fueled by passionate volunteers, that helps bring resources to Lake County, Oregon, to fill the funding and social support services gaps caused by our remote rural location and terrain. To date, we have accomplished everything with $0 cost to those we serve. We sure could use generous, supportive donors like you to increase our outreach and impact throughout the County. This summer, we are traveling throughout Lake County, holding public meetings - giving residents a voice.
WHY? Well, because the traditional Economic Development Agencies have faced setbacks over the last five years, which has resulted in a deficit for the County. The County is trying to secure a better, brighter future, and we are hitting the pavement in full support!
WHAT ELSE does CSI do? We co-fund projects with other nonprofits and seek creative funding streams to support project success. A few you might be familiar with are the Wheels-In-Motion Park and the Lakeview Community Pool. A few that we are working on get the word out about are:
-
Whole House Weatherization Program: This Preservation Program focuses on the building envelope and health safety considerations before evaluating electrical baseloads. Your assistance will help address the multitude of deferred projects that did not meet the feasibility requirements under the WAP Program and is not intended to replace any current weatherization programs or incentives. Examples include proper tie downs, eliminating air leaks, installing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, insulating heating and cooling systems, sound roofs, insulating attic and crawl spaces, etc. Whole-House Weatherization | Department of Energy
-
Energy Efficiency Program: Once the weatherization team ensures the building envelope and major air and water systems meet established performance standards, this Program leverages existing utility and government programs to focus on efficiency upgrades, such as replacing old appliances with Energy Star units, updating lighting with efficient fixtures or bulbs, and installing programmable thermostats, efficient water heaters, and smoke or carbon monoxide alarms. Energy efficiency upgrades can help improve physical and mental health through reduced noise levels, better lighting, healthy air temperatures, and improved air quality that supports better sleep.
-
Water Line Upgrade Program in Lakeview: Replace or install new water lines from the meter to the home in the Lakeview Area. We will also verify that the wastewater is legally connected to a septic or sewer system. This program will serve both renters and homeowners ensuring they have access to clear potable water and sanitary wastewater management.
-
Accessible Modifications Program: This program will support households with members having limited mobility or visual impairment. This could include wheelchair considerations such as pull-down shelves or removable under-sink cabinets, wider doors, or ramps. Bathroom modifications might include grab bars or assistance poles, wash and dry toilets, adjusting locations for switches or outlets, creating a wet room with added drainage, or a walk-in shower conversion. Visual impairment modifications include texture or tile modification, voice-activated lights or equipment, and showers.
