The Ramapo Munsee Indigenous community is one of the oldest in the Northeastern United States. For centuries, we have faced marginalization and displacement, yet we’ve worked tirelessly to preserve our culture, traditions, and sense of community.

Now, our homeland is under urgent threat. Properties central to our identity, history, and survival are being purchased and developed by outside interests. These organizations are actively raising funds to acquire our land, further displacing our people and erasing our connection to the sacred ground that defines who we are.

This isn’t just land. It’s the heart of our culture, the keeper of our stories, and the foundation of our future. Losing these sacred sites would mean losing an irreplaceable piece of our identity.

That’s why the Ramapo Munsee Land Alliance, the first Indigenous Land Trust, has expanded our campaign to raise $900,000. These funds will allow us to purchase and protect these properties, safeguard our families, and preserve our cultural and historical legacy for generations to come.
