On Tuesday, November 5, Annie's Hope was devastated by water damage. The entire lower level of the building was permeated by water. More than half of the square footage we rent - all office spaces, all on-site storage and three small group rooms - were flooded, destroying furniture, program supplies, records, archives and personal items.

We have a strong team of capable, resourceful, tireless, committed staff who are working around the clock to create makeshift work spaces and do all that is necessary to continue programming with minimal interruption, yet costs are quickly mounting. In addition to expenses of emergency remediation, the costs of temporary work space, technology needs, adaptation to accommodate programs, and replacement of furniture and supplies, and necessities are considerable.

In this moment, our greatest needs are:

Financial support for this unanticipated event;
Temporary work space for 12-14 staff (if you have vacant office space with plumbing, heat and power please reach out to Amy LaBelle at 636-236-7720);
Prayers, positive thoughts, healing energy and support that can move us toward fully functioning programs as soon as possible. There are thousands of kids and families who need access to Annie's Hope.

Our number 1 priority is to continue helping kids and families grieving deaths. Demand for bereavement support grows year after year, and decreasing services, even temporarily, is simply not an option.

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity, compassion and support this community demonstrates toward grieving kids.
