On Tuesday, November 5, Annie's Hope was devastated by water damage. The entire lower level of the building - all staff offices, all on-site storage and three small group meeting rooms - were saturated. Furniture, program supplies, records, archives and personal items were lost. Remediation professionals disposed of contaminated waste and cleaned the structure, stripping floors and walls down to structural steel and concrete. It's unclear how long reconstruction might take.

Through the incredible generosity of partners in the Ritenour School District, Annie's Hope offices will be temporarily located in one of Ritenour's supplemental buildings. Our resourceful, tireless, committed staff continue to deliver programming with minimal interruption for kids and families already devastated by deaths.

Our number 1 priority is to continue helping kids and families grieving deaths. Demand for bereavement support in our community grows year after year, and decreasing services, even temporarily, is simply not an option.

The financial cost of the disaster is expected to be $100,000-$150,000 and we need your help more than ever.

In this moment, our greatest need is financial support.

We are immensely grateful for the generosity, compassion and support the community shows grieving kids. Help us remain the region's only haven solely focused on providing FREE mental health supports for kids and families suffering in the aftermath of tragedies.
