Home for the Holidays

Q: What is the goal of our “Home for the Holidays” fundraising campaign? 

A: To find and furnish our own home-like resource center for families and children where they can get new beds, car seats, clothing, school supplies, toys and other basic necessities completely free and in a trauma-informed, developmentally-appropriate environment. Set up to feel like a home, our FVM resource center will help ease the transition of children entering their foster home. This haven of hope will ensure that children have everything they need to feel safe and cared for during those often stressful first few days. We exist to create a village of support for children in foster care and their caregivers by equipping families with basic needs, providing them with connection and community, and advocating for lasting change in our child welfare system.
