Artists in Action Unite is a 20 hour concert starting in Tokyo and ending in California, and is the opening ceremony for The Global Summit Impact Games, an interactive forum for Sustainable Development Goal solutions.

How the Concert Benefits Artists in Action and their Causes:

⋆ The Global Summit’s first Artists In Action Unite Concert directly benefits performers and their chosen causes (50% of all revenue). The other 50% through our nonprofit, Empowerment Works, will be used to coordinate at-cost production needs, year-round regenerative leadership training, and tools for local change-agents.

To catalyze a ripple of positive impact and solutions around the Sustainable Development Goals, we are making this concert as accessible as possible. That means it's free to view! However, countless hours of dedicated work goes into putting this on. To support the Artists in Action, their Charities of Choice, and the Production Team, we need your help! Your love, care, and support, will amplify the messages of these artists and their causes, and generate headway on the global system changes that the world truly needs. According to climate scientists, we’ve got less than ten years left unless we turn these systems around and shift into regenerative solutions. This systemic metamorphosis requires both a shift in consciousness catalyzed through music, and grounded practical projects put into place. Together, we can advocate for and actualize a thriving, regenerative world.

Our Vision
Our vision is to cultivate Artist Led Social Change. Kicking off the Impact Games of 2020, Artists In Action will Unite in a ripple of culture from East to West. The livestream will move through five time zones, showcasing during the prime time where you are, from Tokyo at 8 PM on August 9, 2020, through to Midnight in Los Angeles, California. The need for artist-led social change is nothing less than Olympic.

Rise Up Against Gender Based Violence is a registered NPO and NPC. We are a social behavioural change organization that works in prevention programs for gender-based violence. We also provide direct support to youth and women living on the street as targeted vulnerable groups. Our organization has been providing direct support for the youth, survivors of violence and women living on the streets. Our interventions for women living and working on the streets have been to provide psychosocial support and rehabilitation options as well as to run drives to provide them with their essential needs. These include blanket drives and dignity drives where we crowd source clothes, blankets, sanitary pads, soap, towels, toothbrush and toothpaste, condoms, hand sanitizer, pepper spray for prevention of violence and a toiletry bag for storage. We also provide a warm meal at distribution points and hand out non-perishable foods. To Date we have reached over 4000 people in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban which our interventions

While 60% of humanity is destined for the metropolis, is this the way we want to shape our future? What role do rural communities play?
