Memorial Fund in Honor of Alexa Williamsen

Alexa Rion Williamsen, a lifelong resident of Aberdeen and Cosmopolis, passed away on May 7, 2023, at the age of 21 as result of a car accident on U.S. Highway 101 in Tillamook, Oregon.

Alexa was born on May 4, 2002, to Adam Williamsen and Tricia Kuck at the Madigan Army Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. Adam later married Katy Welch who helped raise Alexa from the time she was a baby and Tricia later married Jeremy Samora who was also an important person in Alexa’s life.

Alexa attended Cosmopolis Elementary school from preschool until 6th grade; she then attended Miller Junior High and continued on to Aberdeen High School where she graduated in 2020. Alexa participated in Running Start through Grays Harbor College her senior year and was continuing to work toward her Associates Degree there at the time of her death.

Alexa is survived by her father and stepmother Adam and Katy Williamsen, her mother and stepfather Tricia and Jeremy Samora, grandparents Jim and Maryann Welch, grandparents Bob and Colleen Williamsen, grandmother Vickie Williamsen, great-grandmother Faith Hermann and siblings Brody Williamsen, Addisyn Williamsen, Alexis Samora, Jack Samora, Maddox Samora and Mackenzie Samora. Alexa has left behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends as well.

Alexa was a true light in this world, she was fun loving and free, always smiling and being goofy. She had a strong heart for animals, especially dogs and was the best big sister to her younger siblings. Her love for those around her was strong and in turn she was loved by so many, her memory will live on in our hearts forever and she will be missed every day.

A celebration of life will be held in Alexa’s honor Sunday, June 11 at 1 p.m. in the Aberdeen High School Auditorium,. This will be followed by a reception at the Hoquiam Elks. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to be made to PAWS of Grays Harbor in Alexa’s name.
