Pathway Caring for Children has served the Northeast Ohio Community for over 50 years! Jim and Velma Bridges founded Pathway Caring for Children with just 5 boys in a group home. Today, Pathway continues to live out Jim’s vision by helping children and families realize the possibilities of their lives through foster care, adoption, and mental health.

There are more than 16,000 Ohio foster children who need a home.
1 in 5 teens have or will be affected by a mental health condition.
10% of adoptions are at risk of re-entering the foster care system.

YOUR donation directly helps vulnerable children. In 2024:

1, 793 children, teens, and families received Pathway services to help them realize the possibilities of their lives through 4 locations in Canton, North Olmsted, and Sebring, OH.
141 children slept safely in Pathway foster homes.
20 children were adopted by Pathway foster homes and now have forever families!
39 young adults who aged out of foster care received support and resources by participating in the Bridges Program.
AND 6 School Districts with over 500 students have therapists and case managers who help enhance student well-being, resilience, and success through accessible mental health support.
