No child should grow up in an orphanage simply because their family was poor. Yet across Tanzania, that remains a harsh reality. Families facing poverty, school costs, or stigma are often told that giving up their child might be the best way forward. This funds is to support 2026 expansion operations.

Through Families First, we support children after they leave residential care: making sure they don’t just return home, but stay there and succeed in school. We surround families with practical, long-term support: school access, home visits, and ongoing follow-up. Because:

🔭 What’s Next: Preventing Separation Before It Starts

We’ve helped children return home. Now we want to go further, by stopping separation before it happens.

In 2026, we’ll launch a expand this layer of prevention by supporting children who have dropped out or are at risk of it, and families struggling silently. We’ll interrupt the poverty-to-orphanage pathway before it begins. We will:

– Uniforms, fees, and supplies
– Attendance and engagement tracking
– School partnerships to catch issues early

– Parenting workshops led by other guardians
– Counseling and emotional support
– Trusted, local follow-up
