Secondly, I somehow managed to completely misunderstand the story behind the ambulance. UFL actually purchased the ambulance for €10k - it wasn’t donated. Unfortunately, we are all running on empty (and caffeine) and it slipped through our review process. Here is the invoice (redacted to protect the seller’s information):

Regardless, now that we have enough for the stretcher, we are hoping to continue the ambulance campaign through Scott’s departure to fill out Anne’s supply run later in August.

Meet your UFL ambulance!

UFL_Arcaist worked his networking magic and found someone selling this retired ambulance for . This offer was too good to pass up, especially in light of russia's recent attacks against civilians and this truly evil murder.

UFL is giving the ambulance to Initiative E+, an aid organization founded by doctors who served on Maidan during the Revolution of Dignity. E+ has evolved into an organization which supports medical, military, and civilian needs along the front line. UFL will hand the ambulance off to them later this month, when Scott delivers it to Kyiv as part of the Summer 2025 tacmed run for UFL, PAV, and Sergei from Mariupol.

(As a retired firefighter and arson investigator, Scott is excited to finally complete his trifecta of driving a police car, fire engine, and ambulance!)

E+ will deploy our (your) ambulance to the Sumy region, where it will replace this one, which was destroyed by russia's constant terrorist attacks:

Call it a stretcher, a cot, or a pram, every ambulance needs something to transport and secure the patient. We are currently sourcing a decent, refurbished stretcher to deliver with the ambulance thanks to your donations!

Now that we have enough for the stretcher, we are hoping to continue the ambulance campaign through Scott’s departure to fill out Anne’s supply run later in August. We are currently running several fundraisers for tacmed which will be transported to Europe and Ukraine by Scott at the end of July, and Anne in mid-August:

It needs a name! You could name it!

We need a name for this yellow-orange beast. UFL has, for some strange reason, decided that all of our donated vehicles need a name that begins with "B". We have already delivered Bärli, Badger (Borsuk), Buddy, Bastard, Bilbo, Bigg, and Brutus. Now we need to name this one.

Блискавка (Blyskavka) – “Lightning” (symbolizes fast help) is our current favorite, but we want you, the UFL supporter, to get a chance to name it. Post your name idea along with your donation and we will pick the most popular! (And no, we will not accept "Bus McBusface" as a name 😀)

We thought you all might like to send the ambulance with a personal message to show Ukrainians your support.

If you donate $50 or more, we will have printed a 9"x12" car magnet with your message, and Scott will apply it to Blyskavka during the 3-day drive to Kyiv. A $100 donation will get you a 12"x18" sign!

Here is the design we will be using for the magnets; simply add your message to the comment section of your donation and we will get them made.

But wait, there's more! If you want, Scott will return your used sign to you as a symbol of your support of Ukraine, signed by E+ when we hand over the ambulance! Or, you can choose to send your magnet with the ambulance to its operational destination.

If you want to sponsor a sign, we need your donation and message no later than July 15 so it gets to Scott by the time he leaves.
