In Loving Memory of Andre The Gentle Giant

In life there are big horses and there are horses bigger than life. Andre was definitely the latter. When we first met him nearly two years ago he was weak, thin, and frightened. With time, patience, medical care (and a ton of hay and grain), hope began to take the place of fear and hunger and his true nature began to show through. Gentle to the core he was always up for a scratch or massage but when asked if he’d like a belly rub, he always shook his head with an emphatic YES. His presence was quiet and unassuming and despite his size, he seemed to have a special stealth mode able to appear out of nowhere to say hello. His giant heart, his gentle presence, and his kind eyes will be missed.
