Precious Acres Animal Rescue & Sanctuary began with a simple belief: every animal deserves safety, dignity, and compassionate care—regardless of age, medical condition, or how difficult their journey has been.

In 2025, we acquired 8.46 acres in rural Iowa with the vision of transforming the property into a permanent refuge for domestic and farm animals. Precious Acres is now a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, but before we can welcome animals, we must build the safe, functional spaces they will need.

Our first major priority is a planned 40-by-60-foot animal care facility. This building will provide secure housing, rehabilitation areas, individualized care spaces, isolation capabilities, and the essential infrastructure needed to care responsibly for animals with different physical, medical, and behavioral needs.

Your donation will help fund construction materials, site preparation, utilities, plumbing, climate control, secure enclosures, equipment, and other critical components of the facility. Every wall, kennel, care area, and safety feature brings us one step closer to opening our doors.

Precious Acres is not currently housing rescue animals. We believe in being transparent: the sanctuary remains in the development and construction phase. We will not bring animals onto the property until appropriate facilities, safeguards, and care systems are in place.
