Why Your Support Matters
Bringing together over 50 elders from remote regions across the world is a deeply meaningful but costly endeavor. The costs of travel, visas, accommodations, and essential provisions for our elders far exceed what ticket sales alone can cover. To offer full transparency, the cost of bringing 50 elders to the U.S. for the event was over $200,000, which covered:

Travel expenses, including passports and visas for elders traveling from remote villages
Flights, accommodations, and meals for elders
Donations to elders in gratitude for their wisdom and teachings
Essential items such as heaters, blankets, and jackets to ensure their comfort
Production, lighting, security, and infrastructure improvements to enhance the gathering experience

Beyond the costs of bringing elders, there are additional expenses that make Aniwa Gathering possible, including location rental, production, lighting, security, and other essential infrastructure to create the most optimal experience for all attendees. Hosting an event in California comes with extremely high costs, from venue fees to ensuring the necessary permits, equipment, and safety measures are in place. These expenses are necessary to provide a safe, well-equipped, and supportive environment for our Aniwa family.
