Annual Fund

Suzuki School of Newton (SSN) is a non-profit community music school with two main components: an after-school music program serving 300 students and a full-day arts integrated Suzuki preschool licensed for 40 students. SSN was founded by Gwendoline Thornblade in 1986 who believed that Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy that all children could learn to play beautiful music —regardless of any innate musical talent—would be central to her teaching and to her school. Our mission is to instill a love and respect for music in our students that will be a source of joyful music making throughout their lives. SSN celebrates 40 years of music and learning. All proceeds will benefit general operating costs for the school, where it is needed most.
