Annual Turkey Giveaway

Every year, Open Access provides complete Thanksgiving meals to 1000 families! We know this does not solve the food inequities in our area, but we hope it shines a light on the problem of hunger and provides much-needed relief and joy during the holiday season.  This couldn't happen without all the generous volunteers and donations! Many local groups aid us in collecting sides to assist in the overall cost.  Last year we had one business collect 1710 boxes of cornbread...huge shout out to Liz Smith of Serendipity Yoga & Wellness in Homewood!  The cost for Open Access to provide these meals is $25 because of all of the other donations we get!    Each family receives a frozen turkey and a bag of sides.
