Anyone's Cafe & Bakery

Anyone’s Cafe & Bakery is a worker-owned cooperative. We have been open since May 1st, 2022 and since then have become a beloved neighborhood cafe in Rochester’s South Wedge neighborhood. Since opening, Anyone’s has encountered several unfortunate setbacks; as a local cafe, we have been subject to the ongoing economic effects of the pandemic, as well as inflation and other forms of precarity. We know we can move the cooperative movement forward in Rochester and contribute so much more to the community, and so we are calling on our community to support us as we make plans alongside you to weather the ongoing uncertainty of these challenging times... Please consider a one-time or recurring donation. Any amount can make a huge difference!

Worker cooperatives are important - workers are in charge of their own business and decisions are decided democratically. We see worker cooperatives as an alternative to our current model of capitalism as we intentionally transition to a more just world. Anyone’s is one of only 612 worker co-ops in the entire nation and is currently the only one in Rochester!

Anyone’s has provided educational resources to the community through our Free Library. The cafe acts as a kid-friendly, community space and has held a crafting event geared towards supporting and connecting radical families in our movement. And we are boosting awareness to local Indigenous sovereignty efforts through our Pumpkin Solidarity Latte.

Thank you for ongoing support. We know that if we come together as a community that we can continue to serve you all as a neighborhood hub for accessible, sustainable food and a center for political and community organizing.

In solidarity,
The Worker Owners of Anyone’s Cafe and Bakery
