The Arc of Lexington CAGE 0QN97 is a South Carolina–based nonprofit committed to redefining care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Birthed from strengthened Our mission is rooted in lived experience and powered by advocacy: providing transitional housing, community inclusion, and ethical oversight where the system falls short.

Our parallel initiative, UNLESS the Movement, gives voice to the silenced — advocating for those harmed by systemic neglect, retaliation, or abuse within care environments. Inspired by The Lorax, this movement confronts the failures in disability services, uplifts vulnerable communities, and protects the dignity of both clients and the caregivers who stand up for them.

Like a lost invitation marked Return to Sender, The Arc — once rooted in sacred vows and national reverence — has faded from its original glory. Once a symbol of purpose and protection for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, today, many chapters feel hollowed — preserving names but not purpose, position but not presence.

But here in Lexington, we are different. The Arc of Lexington is the forgotten chapter — the minority voice. Not inherited by birthright or bloodlines, but formed from the fire of lived experience, of injustice, of undeniable empathy. Our mission wasn’t passed down; it was carved out through struggle.

Where others polish performances, we live the purpose. Where others profit off perception, we fight to protect the people. Where others adopt roles, we embody the reality — raw, unfiltered, and unafraid.

Because I, the founder, check every box they feared: once incarcerated, now a crusader; once silenced, now speaking for the voiceless. And that is why they tried to blackmail, bury, and banish me.

But you can’t erase what was born of truth. We are not a brand — we are a movement. And our Arc bends toward justice
