Summer Dreams builds a pathway for community revitalization by connecting 40 local vendors with students from the Elmwood County Jail Pre-Apprentice Program through recurring monthly farmers' markets.

Led by CityLab Professional under Loree Lynn Davila and Johnny Lee Clarke, and supported by partners including YETI, a sponsoring YMCA, Prison Fellowship Ministries, FlikShop, Cathedral of Faith, and the Santa Clara Valley Family Plan, this initiative turns reintegration into access and meaningful opportunity.

Our goal is to generate measurable, replicable outcomes in economic inclusion and workforce development. Every seasonal market integrates data-driven evaluation and community feedback, laying a foundation for replication across California counties.

Showcase Event — “A Taste of Hope: The Munchyfest Miracle”
Happening the third weekend of May, June, and July at venues sponsored by regional YMCA partners, this event merges a farmers market, food truck fair, and social enterprise showcase. With support from local beekeepers participating in the UC Davis CAMP (California Apiary Mentorship Program), Munchyfest Farmers Market and Food Truck Experience models how collaboration builds sustainable systems for training, entrepreneurship, and social connection.
