Dear Friends,

Thank you for the comfort, support and love that you have given us and so many others, during the covid pandemic and throughout the fifteen years of our shlichut in Old Tappan.

In early April, when I was discharged from the hospital following covid complications, I was told it would be a while before I would be able to resume working.

How was I going to combine my new mission of rest and recovery with my deep desire for productivity? How was I going to turn a challenge into an opportunity?

I then recalled, how a student of mine had once made a suggestion that I purchase an Ipad and an apple pencil. I soon found myself exploring digital art and color, something I had always dreamed of doing.

This wonderful gift from Hashem, distracted me from the severe pain and discomfort during my two month recovery. It also gave me a new avenue with which to inspire others and make a small difference in the world.

After receiving such a warm response to my digital art, I thought that this year, in lieu of our annual gala, we would use it to inspire support for one of our greatest passions, the future of our community.

So, G-d willing, with your sponsorship to Chabad OT’s Fifteenth Anniversary Gala-ry, you will receive a signed giclée print of one of my digital portraits included below.  It is my hope that it will be the catalyst to transform any challenge into a moment of inspiration and hope.
