Aurora is one of the most diverse cities in America, home to residents from more than 150 countries. The Aurora Young Ambassadors Program was built to make sure the young people growing up here understand just how connected they already are to the rest of the world — and to give them the tools, the confidence, and the opportunities to lead in it.

This July, six Aurora students represented our city at the Seongnam International Youth Conference in South Korea. Most had never been abroad.

The Aurora Young Ambassadors Program gives Aurora students an after-school leadership curriculum, global youth summits connecting them with peers in our sister cities — Adama, Ethiopia; Chihuahua, Mexico; and Seongnam, South Korea — and real opportunities to travel abroad and represent their city on the world stage.
