This annual celebration promotes culture and diversity and the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a vibrant community. The festivities start at 2 pm (on Hull and Washington), and the parade begins at 3 pm (on Clayton Street) featuring local bands, dance groups, and community organizations, followed by a music festival showcasing diverse talent, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. Applications and fees if required must be in by December 31st. A $25 Late will be added for applications received after December 31st. YOUTH GROUPs have no application fees. Parade participants and vendors check-in outside of the Morton Theatre at 195 W Washington St, Athens, GA 30601 The festivities start at 2 pm (on Hull and Washington), and the parade begins at 3 pm (on Clayton Street) featuring local bands, dance groups, and community organizations, followed by a music festival showcasing diverse talent, food vendors, and family-friendly activities.
