In Japan, the crane has a special significance. Because of its long lifespan it is believed to be a symbol of good fortune and longevity. It is believed that if one folds 1,000 origami cranes, they will have a wish granted to them.

Our wish at ATI-Museum Mile is to attend this year's International MMUN conference in NYC alongside our fellow Aldie, Chantilly and Prosperity campuses to represent both our Network as well as the countries of Japan and Israel. You can be a part of our wish and purchase a crane to be folded as one of the thousand. For every $10 you give we will fold you a crane, embedded with your own personal wish, and include your crane in our final art installation piece to be displayed at the MMUN.

Your support makes it possible as we prepare for MMUN over the next sixteen weeks by researching and debating relevant topics, working together with people representing diverse ideas and cultures and proposing resolutions to world issues rooted in the Sustainable Development goals.

The ATI values, pursuit of knowledge, love of work, power of agency, joy of community, and courage to live wholeheartedly are aligned with the MMUN vision of “helping young people understand the world we live in, and providing the structure for finding their voices… in order to make the world a better place.” WE ARE MAKING HISTORY! This will be the first time students from our ATI network of schools attends this international conference with close to a thousand other student delegates from around the world.
