Atlanta Flamenco Festival

The Atlanta Flamenco Festival presents world-class artists from Spain in concerts and in educational outreach. We welcome talented artists who share not only their music and dance, but also lifestyle with people who love flamenco in metro Atlanta.

In 2025, the festival began with a concert by Juani de la Isla of San Fernando de la Isla, Spain. He played a live guitar concert for a limited  audience of 40 people in Little Five Points, which was paired with a talk about the history of flamenco guitar by flamencologist Juan Vergillos of Seville, Spain. The festival continued with classes by visiting artists Marilia Quevedo and Cristian Puig, who taught 120 students in DeKalb School of the Arts how to sing and dance flamenco. Later Entre Flamenco arrived to teach in the Aperture Residency for the Cuadro, in which they met with adult professional artists and students to explore and play with the non-verbal codes of communication that are at the core of flamenco improvisation. This weekend, this company, made up of artists from the Spanish cities of Jerez de la Frontera and San Fernando de la Isla, perform concerts of live flamenco at Emory University Performing Arts Studio.

Ticket sales and class tuition cover about 40% of the cost of producing festival programming. A Través is fortunate to receive funding from public grants and private donors to support our programs.

We invite you to make a donation to help us in our mission to bring flamenco to everyone - from the stage to the kitchen. Contributions of any amount will help pay for the expenses of producing concerts and classes, from international travel, to facility rental, and artist fees.

As a 501c3, donations made to A Través are 100% tax-deductible.
