AWI Mission
 

The objective of the non-profit American Warrior Initiative 501(c)3 is to educate, encourage, and inspire Americans to give back to our military.

One way we do this is by providing fully trained service dogs to disabled combat veterans. It costs approximately $25,000 to fully fund a service members' dog's training. With your help, we can provide a Central Arkansas Veteran the support they need.

This outpost is championed by two Commanders, Sofia Martinez and Ashton Parker, both of Sylvan Hills High School. It is their hope to provide one veteran a service dog before they graduate in May 2027.

Who is AWI Central Arkansas Outpost?

Welcome to your local Outpost of the American Warrior Initiative (AWI).

You have just joined a grassroots team of civilians and veterans united by a singular mission: to bridge the military-civilian divide and serve those who’ve served us—veterans, first responders, and their families.

As part of an AWI outpost, together we take local action to create national impact. Our Outpost hosts fundraising events, builds connections with veteran organizations, and directly supports those in need right here in your home town.

What makes us unique? When we join together to hold fundraisers, every dollar we raise will go directly to helping veterans and first responders—most often through life-changing service dogs, emergency assistance, or customized support. Thanks to Fairway Independent Mortgage covering all administrative costs, 100% of public donations go where they’re needed most - directly to the hero in need.

We believe in the power of community. Whether it’s through fundraising with a cornhole tournament, a 5K, a golf tournament, etc., or simply lending a hand, we’re working one neighborhood at a time to make sure no veteran or first responder feels forgotten.
