The Junior League of Bronxville (JLB), a 501(c)(3), takes great care in being the steward of the Erica Sevilla Service Award. Erica was a past president of the JLB who sadly passed away too soon from breast cancer in October 2019. She was a passionate volunteer-leader in our community and lived our vision of "Mobilizing Women to Ignite and Inspire Community Change." Beyond her contributions through the JLB, Erica was a wife, mother, daughter, sister and true friend to everyone that was blessed to know her. 

Each year, through the donations made to this fund, the JLB will award several $1,500 scholarships to young women who are pursuing higher education and reflect the values of Erica and her family, as well as those of the League. There will also be an annual $500 grant to Groundwork Hudson Valley, a nonprofit partner based in Yonkers, NY. Erica served on their board and advocated for their mission to create sustainable environmental change in urban neighborhoods through community-based partnerships that promote equity, youth leadership, and economic opportunity. The fund is also periodically used to fund special projects for causes that were important to Erica such as supplementing the League's annual dorm drive.
