Physical fitness and knowing your community are integral when it comes to self-protection. Our Founder thwarted an assault when she was followed home from the train one night, inspiring B3: Be Prepared, Be Aware, Be Empowered. Being physically prepared to run, and aware of her surroundings, she was able to protect herself and run to safety. She needed B3. And she's not alone.

Our Be Aware program is designed to strengthen our community by bringing neighbors together to Move & Meet at a B3 Safe Stop - local businesses near SEPTA stations that provide safe spaces for our community. Our free self-defense classes are designed to help our community Be Aware when walking alone.

Knowledge equips you with power, and we aim to strengthen your skills to deploy that power effectively. The technical self-defense skills taught by Jake Skelly from Broad Street Kickboxing provide us with the confidence and ability to protect ourselves at all times.
