Hello! I'm so thankful that you are considering a contribution to my Biking for Babies ride! I am spending the next 7 months physically & spiritually preparing to bike 600 miles in 6 days for women in unplanned pregnancies, their children and families, and the pregnancy resource centers that care for them. I hope you will join me in this mission to cover them in an outpouring of financial and spiritual support!

When I discovered Biking for Babies last year, I was set on fire for the mission. I had found a way to honor and give thanks for the lives of my beloved niece and nephews by fighting for the lives of other children. I had found a way to witness to how much women and unborn children are worth suffering and sacrificing for. I had found a way to reflect the love Jesus has for them: the radical, relentless, lay-your-life-down kind of love He displayed on the cross.

As I got to know our pregnancy center partners, I learned that they reflect this love every single day. I previously had a vague understanding of what pregnancy centers do, but what I saw last year blew me away. They are lifelines for pregnant women from all walks of life, working tirelessly and far beyond the margins of their job to meet any need. I have met women and children whose lives were saved by these centers, whose lives are flourishing since walking through their doors. I couldn’t help but dedicate myself to helping them continue their sacred work! I am praying you will feel the same conviction to support them that I do. (I shared about what I witnessed at our pregnancy centers last year in my mission partner updates, which you can read here!)

Your generosity will help provide women in need with loving care and life-changing resources like these:

• Free counseling, pregnancy testing, STI testing, abortion pill reversal, prenatal care, and ultrasounds. Ultrasounds are often a life-saving moment for mothers in crisis. (One ultrasound costs about $500.)
• Free items to support families after children are born, including diapers, cribs, formula, food, car seats, etc. (One case of diapers costs about $40. One car seat costs about $250.)
• Free parenting classes, support groups, Project Rachel retreats, adoption referrals, and support and referrals for many other needs.

If nothing else, I ask you to pray for our pregnancy center partners and for the mothers, fathers, and children finding themselves in difficult and often desperate circumstances. I also ask you to pray for my team of missionaries as I lead them through these challenging months of sacrifice & preparation and across the 600 miles in July. Please pray that I love and lead them well, and that together we suffer well, offering up all the pain, sweat, hills, tears, exhaustion, injuries, loss of free time, and whatever else comes up for these families in need.
