This is a fundraiser that we never, ever wanted to write.

Our friend’s 5-year-old daughter suddenly died last Monday.

My friend Rian’s child is their half-sibling, and he needs help with travel expenses to attend the funeral.

We need about $300 to cover plane fare and food. Lodging and some of the rides to and from the airport are covered by the generosity of our friends. Anything donated to Rian that he doesn't need will be donated to Racquel for funeral expenses.

Phoenix should have been starting kindergarten on Tuesday, but instead, our friend is planning her daughter’s funeral. And Rian had to tell his child they no longer have a sibling.

The grief is very heavy for everyone who knew and loved Phoenix. Please help us in remembering Phoenix well, in the way she deserves.
