Spc Luke Frist was assigned to the 209th Quartermaster Company, US Army Reserve, based in Lafayette, IN. On January 2nd, 2004 he sustained 3rd degree burns over 95% of his body when the petroleum fuel tanker he was in hit an IED in Ramadi, Iraq. He passed three days later, at the young age of 20, on January 5th, 2004.

Luke grew up on a farm in White County, Indiana with his parents; Dennis & Patti Frist, and sisters Johanna Lipscomb and Erin Frist. Luke joined the military in honor of a family tradition dating back to the Revolutionary War. He was a son, a brother, a friend...and an American hero. Never Forgotten. Say his name.....

Building Restoring Hope is a grassroots effort of love, duty, and commitment to serving Hoosier Veterans. Our building campaign for Restoring Hope has featured our Founding Patriots Program with three tiers of sponsorship.

As a Founding Patriot, names are immortalized in the halls of Restoring Hope for every Veteran who comes home to heal!

We want to put heroes names on this wall. We will be launching a series of hometown heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Their names will be listed in the "memory of" section of our walls. We will run each campaign for two weeks or until we meet the minimum level of sponsorship. Not only are we immortalizing their names...but from the grave these heroes are continuing to fight for freedom for their brothers and sisters still fighting the war at home.
