Amanda Hernandez is a dancer inspired by youth and determined to share her love of reading and dancing with the world. She serves as the Ballet & Books Director of Chapters. She facilitates community partnerships, communicates with college leaders to assure successful programming, and works to expand Ballet & Books by creating new programs at universities nationwide. She graduated with a B.A. in Biology & Society from Cornell University in 2021 with minors in Latino Studies and Business. She currently works in clinical research at Columbia Irving Medical Center studying early life interventions to eliminate racial/ethnic and socioeconomic disparities in childhood obesity, serves as the Coach of the Cornell University Dance Team, and hopes to attend medical school.
