Hailey and I are fundraising to collect funds for scholarships for HSPVA Black Alumni Network (BAN) and Black Legacy in Arts (BLA). BAN has provided scholarships for students to attend summer intensives and internships as well as scholarships for seniors to further their education and training. This year, Hailey has had the opportunity to participate in the Houston Urban Nutcracker and the Black Angels Collective inaugural show, Heaven and Earth. This is in addition to dancing with her studio. Last year, I was accepted to several summer dance intensives but was not able to attend due to cost. Funds raised by your donations can offer me scholarship opportunities to study dance at other summer programs outside of Houston. I think this will better help me prepare when it’s time to go off to school.
