Story
Barfi Story:
When the tiny Barfi was found at a month old with a broken jaw, he was still searching for his mother and had yet to be weaned. Stray Animal Foundation of India provided vet care, and Barfi gradually recovered after surgery.
Barfi has not been deemed a desirable pup due to his Indian breed, leaving him with no adoption interest. However, as he grew older, his teeth began to misalign and protrude outwards, causing many people to consider him ugly. However, Krystle Russo saw beyond this and noticed something special in the pup; she chose to take Barfi into her home and provide him with an adoptive family. Despite what people thought of Barfi's looks, Krystle believed there was more to him than meets the eye.
Barfi traveled to America to unite with his owner Krystle - but he needs help covering the costs of international traveling and vet costs. Barfi was taken to the vet in the USA to evaluate his jaw. An X-ray revealed that his nose had been completely blocked off with pieces of calcified bone caused by the incident. This meant that he could only breathe through his mouth now. Upon consultation with a radiologist, it seemed probable that one tooth had lodged in the nasal passage. The vet performed a trial surgery to try and take it out, but unfortunately, it was deeply embedded in there. The cost is far more than Krystle or our rescue organization can pay, so we are asking for your assistance in donating any amount you are able to spare.
