Introducing Ehmsee Shane — A New Name, A Big Dream

Many of you know me by a different name, but today, I’m stepping into a new chapter of my life as Ehmsee Shane — author, educator, and mother on a mission to change the way we teach life and social skills to children.

As an early elementary teacher and a mom of two, I’ve seen firsthand the power of a good story. A well-crafted book can open doors for children — helping them navigate emotions, build confidence, problem solve, and grow into compassionate, resilient human beings. And that’s exactly what I’ve set out to create.

📚 Two Series, with One Purpose. Growing Little Minds.
With your help, I’m launching two book series:
✨ One for teachers, to use right in the classroom
✨ One for parents, to support connection at home
These are not just any books — they are rhyming social stories designed to teach real-life skills in a gentle, engaging, and empowering way.
*The first book published will be a part of the series for teachers, but could easily be read at home too!

📝 Why Self-Publish?
Traditional publishing is a beautiful path, but I chose to self-publish because it allows for more creative control, attention to detail, and most importantly, accessibility — keeping the cost down for families and teachers who need these tools the most.

🎨 Who is your illustrator?
The *amazing* Sandie Sonke will be the illustrator in helping these stories come to life. I'm extremely grateful that she too sees the importance of these books and wants to work alongside with me!
