Black Connect is the only national, membership and chapter-based 501 (c)(3) organization focused solely on eliminating the racial wealth gap in America by increasing the number and success rate of Black-owned businesses. With an emphasis on low and moderate income communities, Black Connect's holistic approach fosters the socioeconomic growth and empowerment of the Black community by promoting entrepreneurial activities.

On June 3, 2024, Black Connect is celebrating a milestone. It’s hard to believe that we are fast-approaching our 5-year anniversary. The past five years have been busy as we worked to establish the foundation of a greatly needed and widely respected organization and build an entrepreneurial ecosystem that resonates with all of our stakeholders. With nearly $250,000 in pro bono legal services and $50,000 in business grants already distributed through Black Connect to Black entrepreneurs and business owners since 2019, we are continuously working to eliminate the inequities and barriers facing Black Americans by helping Black entrepreneurs and small business owners avoid costly legal mistakes and build sustainable businesses and entrepreneurial communities.

Frankly, however, it’s been difficult for us to raise the funds so desperately needed to operate efficiently and expand our capacity, so it is with great enthusiasm that we are calling upon our corporate supporters to commit to donating to Black Connect for the next five years.

In addition to direct legal services, we’ve been fortunate enough to offer a robust menu of programs and services including legal clinics, legal webinars, pitch competitions, business mentoring and financial planning, all while establishing local Black Connect chapters in New York City, Atlanta, Tampa, and Tulsa. It’s because of responsible corporate citizens that we’ve been able to make such an impact, and we plan to accomplish even more with your support this year. Please pledge to help us reach our fundraising goal of $100,000 by June 3, 2024.

We are actively working to close the racial wealth gap in America, but we can’t do it alone. We need the financial support of our partners to make our efforts go even further. We would be so thankful if you make a pledge to help us close the gap.
