Be An Angel

Every once in a while, someone in our community needs a lift.

At Story Summit, we have writers from all walks of life—some thriving, some rebuilding, some standing right at the edge of their creative breakthrough but needing a helping hand to stay in the circle.

That’s where Be An Angel comes in.

The idea was inspired by Summiteer Annee Martin, who has  been an angel quite a few times and quietly sponsored several writers in our community. Her generosity sparked a simple thought: What if more of us could do the same?

Recently, WAGS Treasurer Stacey Powells added to that spirit by contributing her speaking honorarium to fund another scholarship.

Through the Write a Great Story Foundation, Summiteers can sponsor a one-year Story Summit membership scholarship for another writer in the community.

The scholarship rate is an exclusive $499.99 for a full year, and because it is offered through our nonprofit foundation, your contribution is tax-deductible.

Your gift might allow a writer to:

• Finish their first screenplay

• Complete a novel that has been living inside them for years

• Find the community and encouragement they need to keep going

We have already seen how transformative this community can be. Sometimes all it takes is one generous person saying:
