The Homebuilders Foundation has donated a dedicated external annex facility to FPGWC; staff office space right at our Beaverton Shelter location. For most people, that sounds like an operational upgrade. For us, it's a transformation.

Here's why: for years, two rooms inside our shelter house have been used as staff offices. That's two rooms that couldn't be used for what they were always meant for: Sheltering families.

Now that our staff is moving to the annex, those two rooms are free. And we are converting them immediately.

Our Beaverton Shelter capacity is doubling from serving 2 families at a time to serving 4 families at a time, each for up to 90 days.

That's two more families who will have a roof over their heads. Two more families with the time and stability to rebuild their footing. Two more families who, because of this community, will have a real shot at permanent housing.

In 2025, FPGWC provided 68,280 bed nights of shelter, served 582 children and caregivers, and helped prevent 143 family evictions. Every one of those numbers started with a room; a safe place to sleep, to breathe, to plan. Now, thanks to The Homebuilders Foundation, we have two more rooms to offer.

But there's still work to do. Before we can welcome our next two families, those rooms need to be ready: beds, bedding, furniture, and the care that turns four walls into a home. We're asking our community to help us cross the finish line.
