hey y’all, it’s BEBE DELUXE. some of y’all have known me for years but some of you are only just meeting me now. my birthday is september 29th and nothing would make me happier than if you could come watch me and my band BEBE DELUXE & THE SUGARTANKS perform at THE WALRUS here in my beautiful stupid hometown Jacksonville, FL.

Most of you probably know me from being obnoxious online or at a drag show,but in the spirit of keeping it real, all i’ve ever wanted to do was make music publicly and transition privately. that said, its 2024, i was never a model student, and would you believe me if i told you there is a cap on the amount of money you can make as a north florida queer icon?

i’ve recently started a video series called “saying random words until the internet pays for my transition” and let’s just say i was only half-joking when i came up with that concept. i’d like to start this next year of my life seriously commiting to the uncomfortable realities of medical transition. this of course leads to a level of public transparency and scrutinity that has me seriously anxious, but what must be done must be done.

i am currently raising money to begin some very expensive and longterm procedures regarding gender affirmative care and could use your help. i have launched a link in my bio to donate to a campaign, but if you’re inclined to cut out the middle man, my cashapp is $bebedeluxe and my venmo is @bebedeluxe.

sometimes in these fundraising scenarios, there is a level of expected intimacy required between the subject and the benefactor, which is why i’ve always dodged the ineviatable “help bebe deluxe transition” campaign as long as i have, but at a certain point you reach a certain age where there is no time like the present.

i’d love nothing more than to be able to handle the financial burden of transitioning privately and continue to be the court jester i was born to play, but i’m not getting any younger and it’s now or never.

i’ll need way more than $5000 to cover every single facet of my gender affirming procedures, but $5000 will cover enough to get through the next couple of years and hopefully assist me in taking my career as a very public trans woman to the next level.

i am absolutely nothing without the community of people here in jacksonville, florida and by extension, all over the world. i am eternally grateful for the support that has been generously given to me over the years. i hope to somebody make you all very proud and know that when you invested in me, you made a good choice.
