Fraser's AMRAP presents the CrossFit Vertex Beer & Donut Mile!

As is our custom, every October is #DOGTOBER!!
This year, we'll be collecting goods and raising money for the following causes:

Ruff Dogs Rescue Northeast (Queen Freddie's Rescue)
The American Red Cross (for our human friends affected by Hurricane Helene)
Best Friends Animal Society (for our non-human friends affected by Hurricane Helene)

We'll also be incorporating a fun event on October 26th, 2024: the Beer & Donut Mile!

Fraser's AMRAP, As Many Rescues As Possible

Fraser’s AMRAP, under the CrossFit Vertex umbrella, will pay for half of the adoption fees associated with any adoption from a certified Rescue or Shelter. 💙💙💙

Rules for the Beer & Donut Mile:

Individual Runners and Relay Teams are welcome. All participants buy a ticket ($25.00)
Runners, joggers, and walkers (😁) will be stationed near the "chug area".
Our clock will countdown: 3... 2... 1... GO!
Participants will chug a carbonated drink or consume a series of delicious donuts
Participants will then run/walk/jog/crawl 400 Meters (down/back 200 meters, about 1/4 of a mile)
Upon their return to the "chug area", participants will chug another carbonated drink or consume a series of delicious donuts. My goodness what fun!
Then another 400 Meters
Repeat 2 more times
Cross the finish line!!

Fastest time wins. Feel free to bring your own alcoholic beer, non-alcoholic beer, some other type of carbonated drink, or donuts. Adults, teens, and youths under the age of 21 are welcome to participate.

We'll start around 11:30 AM, most likely do 3-4 heats, and we'll wrap up around 2:30 PM.

With the exception of a small overhead, we'll divide the donations three ways (Ruff Dogs, American Red Cross, and Best Friends Animal Society). Relay all questions to Joe Marcavage.
