This September, Amelia Quinn and Miriam, the Executive Director and Clinical Director of BELOVED, will take on one of the hardest physical challenges either of us has ever attempted.

29029 Everesting. One mountain. Climbed 15 times. 29,029 feet of elevation (the height of Everest), in 36 hours.

Why did we sign up for this? Honestly we ask ourselves the same question most days. But we wanted to invite you into the journey we watch the clients of BELOVED face everyday. We watch as women take the next brave step days after day as they face a mountain that often feels unsurassable with so many voices from their past screaming they can never make it. We want to honor these brave steps by taking step after step ourselves and inviting you to be the voices surrounding us on the journey and in doing so surrounding each woman who walking through the doors of BELOVED.

BELOVED is an Atlanta-based nonprofit serving adult women healing from sexual exploitation. Through our two-year Residential Restoration Program and our REACH Community Program, we walk alongside women as they rebuild their lives, with safe housing, mental health support, strength based case management and a community that refuses to let them climb alone.

Their journeys are long. Brave. And worth every step.

This campaign is our way of saying: we see you. We'll climb for you.

Every dollar raised here supports clients taking their next step in the healing journey. It supporrts the women who are doing the hardest, most courageous work we've ever witnessed.

We don't know exactly what this mountain will ask of us. But we know we won't be doing it alone. And neither will they.
