My name is Dr. Tramayne Butler-DeLong, PhD and I am a wellness coach trained by the Mayo Clinic, a cultural anthropologist, a mom of 4 and an entrepreneur. Ever since my kids were born, I began focusing on my own health and wellness by trying to eat healthier and find time to go to the workout after recovering from several surgeries and cesareans. I have a passion for helping people live healthier and helping to solve social problems. I just launched a nonprofit organization called TransformaWell that is dedicated to improving the wellness of my community and help prevent chronic diseases.

Mission

I am excited to share our mission to help empower and inspire people to live a healthier lifestyle and help prevent chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and cancer, that affect many Americans. We aim to help underserved populations by offering free programs educating people how to improve their nutrition, stress levels and fitness. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 60% of Americans live with at least one chronic disease and 42% have more than one condition such as heart disease and stroke, cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure. These chronic conditions are the leading cause of death and disability in the country and many of them can be prevented and better managed through healthy eating and lifestyle changes. At TransformaWell, we want to help people implement these vital lifestyle changes that can save lives.

Results

Our clients have already seen significant results in our first wellness program focusing on nutrition, metabolic renewal, fitness, and wellness coaching! They report gaining more self-confidence, more control over their health and losing up to 15 pounds in 4 weeks as well as inches off their waists. With our unique approach to nutrition, our clients are learning to enjoy their food while eating healthy as well as benefit from increased energy levels and lower blood pressure. We are fundraising to develop a program offering wellness workshops to organizations such as churches and schools to reach more people.
